The Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has launched multiple water projects in Kilifi County, in a bid to increase access to clean and safe drinking water for local residents.
The projects include a 29km water pipeline and the Ksh. 100 million Mnagoni-Midoina- Ndarakho-Shirango- Rimerapera water pipeline project that is expected to provide clean water to 11,821 people in the Bamba area of Ganze Sub-county.
The projects have been funded by the European Union and the Water Sector Trust Fund, and the Kilifi County government. The projects are expected to be complete by December 2021.
